FINE will be taking a break

9 10 2016

As some of you know, my wife has had dementia for a few years, not caused by Alzheimer’s but by a disease called Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD).

Recently she has been in assisted living but will be coming home for awhile.  I’ll have help at home but do need to cut back on some activities so I can prepare for, manage her care and care for her when the help is not there. Mornings I expect will be particularly busy and unpredictable.

I will be continuing my digital marketing and technology business, for my current clients, since most of that I do at home.

If time allows, I’ll continue to pursue my start-up from last year, related to dementia, where I developed an approach to using the iPad with my wife to keep her engaged, stimulated, active, and help with communications. – www.techforcaregiving.com.

I hope to resume FINE at some point in time. Hard to believe that it is now in its 23rd year.

I’ll also make the offer that if anyone is facing caring for a loved one with dementia, and has questions, feel free to get in touch with me, I’ve got a lot of experience.
