FINE is on vacation in August

31 07 2010

We’ve decided to take off in August and concentrate on enjoying the summer! There will be no meeting.

However, be sure to mark your calendars for September 16th, the FINE 17th Anniversary meeting, when our featured speaker will be Michael Ross, Managing Director of the Westport Country Playhouse.

Have a great rest of the summer!

Great Job by Richard Frisch,

20 07 2010

As usual, Richard did a great job. His presentation was interesting and the information valuable. Go to Richard’s blog where he posted his chart showing the various software and online solutions for backup. If you would like to engage Richard to help you develop a plan for your business and set you up with a backup process, contact him at

No meeting in August. We are trying to take it easy for the rest of the summer. Hope you do too.

Mark September 16th on your calendar, it’s the FINE 17th Anniversary meeting. Be there to help us celebrate! We will be at the Playhouse but in the Lucille Lortel White Barn Center. Our speaker will be Michael Ross, Managing Director of the Westport Country Playhouse, who will give us a behind the scenes look at the business aspects of bringing the wonderful performances to the stage.

We are offering something special to FINE members, the opportunity to display your wares. Tables will be available, contact John Mocker for the details and to reserve a table.

We are looking for a home in October. We need a meeting space on 10/21. I meant to mention it at the meeting and forgot. If you have something to offer or know of a place, please let me know.

What happens when the lights got out? A storm sweeps through the area? How do you make sure you don’t lose valuable operating information? With our dependence on technology today, we all need to have a plan to recover and to keep operating.

At our next meeting, Thursday, July 15th, 9AM at the Westport Country Playhouse, Richard Frisch will give us some pointers on what we can do to protect valuable information.

Richard Frisch runs RHFtech, providing expert specialist services for digital home entertainment and general technology support to small business and residential clients. He provides knowledge, assistance, support and insight to others and works with Windows, Mac and Linux machines.

Richard is a member of the Microsoft Partner Program and is a blogger and a journalist. He writes a column, The RHFtech Help Desk, which is posted weekly by email and online, and bi-weekly in The Norwalk Hour, Wilton Villager, and the Stamford Times. Coffee will be available thanks to our coffee sponsor, Elliott Fisher, Business Development Manager at Business Concierge Solutions.
